Synergy For Mac

Synergy is a practical and very easy-to-use Mac OS X application specially made to help you take control over iTunes and change the currently playing song without switching between app windows.

Synergy is designed to run in your Mac’s status bar from where you can play, pause and change songs with just a few mouse clicks.

On top of that, Synergy helps you browse through your music collection and access your favorite playlists.

Moreover, Synergy’s built-in notification system makes it easy for you to view detailed information about the played tracks.

By right-clicking on Synergy’s status bar buttons, you have the option to view the recently played tracks, clear the history list, view your playlists, turn on of off the shuffle option, enable the repeat feature and bring iTunes to front.

You can turn the built-in notification system, Floater, on or off, open the album covers folder, transfer the grabbed artwork to iTunes and disable the last.fm submission. Hence, Synergy allows you to scrobble music and update your last.fm profile and update or download missing album cover from the web.

Synergy is highly customizable and allows you to configure almost anything from global hot keys to notification options from within the Preferences window. Thus, you can choose what type of information is displayed in the Floater and decide for how long the information is show, You’ll be able to adjust the transparency and size of the notification window.

If you are not happy with the pre-defined keyboard shortcuts, you’ll be happy to know that Synergy allows you to assign new hot keys to almost any task and action you can perform. Beside the play/pause and volume controls, you also have the power to increase or decrease the song rating, show or hide the Floater and more.
