Superlist For Mac

You see a lot of to-do list and note-taking apps nowadays, and they don’t usually catch your attention. To really be successful, they need to stand out in some way, either thanks to their feature lineup or general design.

Superlist has quite a few features, but not too many. Where it shines is through its UI design, which makes it easy and pleasant to use, particularly if you want a user experience that’s almost identical on both desktop and mobile devices.

Once you get started, you’ll see that Superlist relies on a classic to-do list management structure, at least at its core. You can add everything to your Inbox and distribute things later, see what’s due for today, and organize items into multiple lists.

The lists themselves offer a lot of flexibility, allowing you to add simple tasks, with or without subtasks, bullet or numbered lists, dividers, images, and various attachments. Each list also has its own emoji, which looks quite nice and can help you tell them apart.

If you just want to manage your personal schedule and notes, the Free version is more than enough, and you can just ignore the sharing features and integrations you don’t need. The app’s minimalistic design makes it ideal for this, and the UI isn’t cluttered by advanced features you don’t use.

However, if you do want to work with a team, Superlist can accommodate you. It allows you to share lists and collaborate with others, and it supports integration with Slack, GitHub, Linear, and Figma.

Superlist was designed with a lot of care, and it just feels very nice to use. Small touches like the drawn-on dividers add a bit of charm, and it’s quite impressive that its fairly considerable set of features was squeezed into such a minimalistic package.
