Power users will do just about anything to avoid using the mouse, but sometimes you can’t get around clicking something. Well, unless you have an app that lets you search for text on your screen and click it without ever taking your hands off the keyboard.

Superkey aims to make your mouse even less necessary by allowing you to click any searchable text by just pressing Enter. What’s more, it can turn the rarely-used Caps Lock into a hyper key and map it to various other functions.

The Seek feature allows you to press a customizable hotkey to bring up a search box. Then, just type any text that identifies something you want to click — if there are multiple matches, you can cycle through them using your arrow keys. Once you’ve found the right one, press Enter to click it.

By holding down a modifier when pressing Enter, you can trigger other types of clicks or various related actions, such as a right click, double click, middle click, or just moving the cursor to the specified position on your screen.

Caps Lock doesn’t see much use these days, but it’s in such an accessible spot on your keyboard that you may want to remap it to an actual useful function. As a hyper key, it becomes a combination of the four other modifiers (⌃⌥⌘⇧), allowing you to create numerous accessible new shortcuts.

While Caps Lock is the most obvious choice, you can use another key or modifier as your hyper key. You can also choose whether it should include Shift and which actions the modifiers should apply to.

If you’ve made Caps Lock a hyper key, you can remap its original function to something else. A quick press can trigger a different function altogether, and other key combinations can be activated from the app’s preferences.
