Subliminal is a minimalist and unobtrusive macOS application that can be employed to create personalized subliminal messages that will be displayed on top of all your windows periodically.

Subliminal messages are pieces of text or images that flash quickly before your eyes, and your brain registers them, even if you are not able to actually see the message. The purpose of this technique is to help you deal with certain issues, or to get motivated.

The Subliminal macOS application simply facilitates the viewing of these messages on your desktop, regardless of what you are working on. The app will display the messages on top of all your windows, even if you are not able to perceive it.

To verify that everything goes as planned, Subliminal comes with a test function that will display the subliminal message in slow motion.

Subliminal comes with a collection of predefined subliminal messages, but you get to easily remove them, and add your own entries. Each messages comes with a small check box that helps you activate or deactivate its visibility.

In the Subliminal Settings panel you get to adjust the time interval in which the application will repeat the message display, but also the font style, text color, or text outline. Moreover, you can choose to have the message shown in a random position, with a random size.

Subliminal offers you the possibility to train your brain by sending custom subliminal messages periodically. The application is easy to setup, offers you the possibility to create personalized messages, and even integrates appearance customization options.

Since Subliminal can start at login, and once setup does not require any user interaction, it can function in the background, without interrupting your workflow, or making its presence known.
