StatsWidgetPlus For Mac

StatsWidgetPlus is a minimalist solution for keeping an eye on your system’s performance, without having to go back and forth to the Activity Monitor utility to review the statistical data.

The StatsWidgetPlus app runs as a standalone tool, but you can also choose to integrate the companion widget in the Today panel included in the Notification Center window.

The StatsWidgetPlus user interface is represented by a small window where you get to see information and graphs depicting the resources usage and activity organized in four main categories CPU, Memory, Network, and Disk.

As far as the CPU is concerned, StatsWidgetPlus provides the number of threads and processes, the amount of processing power used by the system or by the user, and how much CPU power is currently idle.

In the Memory tab, you can see the wired, active, inactive and free memory, and how much of the available resources are currently being used.

The Network tab offers details about the received and sent packages, while the Disk panel lets you know how much space it is available in total, how much of it is used or free, and the percent of occupied space.

To help you visualize the data, StatsWidgetPlus also generates graphs in each case, and the representations are updated in real time.

By default, StatsWidgetPlus allows you to switch between a horizontal and block layout, so you can easily keep its panel on your desktop without meddling too much with your screen space. Via an in-app purchase, you can also get an add-on featuring a vertical layout.

On the other hand, if you don’t want to keep the monitoring tool on the desktop, you can activate the companion Notification Center widget: you will get access to the same amount of information in a less intrusive manner.

Bottom line, StatsWidgetPlus provides quick access to general statistical data that can give you an idea about how your system is doing and if you are overloading it.
