Run shortcuts automatically based on a variety of triggers, making Apple's Shortcuts that much better by eliminating the need to run them manually #Shortcuts Automation #Shortcut Trigger #Automate Shortcuts #Shortcuts #Shortcut #Automation
Apple’s Shortcuts is an exceptional automation tool, mainly thanks to its incredibly intuitive design, which makes it accessible to any type of user. However, it doesn’t offer a way to trigger your created shortcuts automatically.
Shortery is meant to address that issue. It allows you to set up triggers that will run your shortcuts automatically when certain conditions are met. They are as easy to configure as the shortcuts themselves, and they eliminate lots of repetitive tasks.
Since you’re looking to try out this app, it’s safe to assume you already have some automations created with Shortcuts. The problem is that you always need to run them manually, even if they could easily be linked to certain events.
With Shortery, you can select any created shortcut and specify a trigger that will run them automatically. These include app launches, login, current time, folder contents, power status, device connections, and quite a few more.
You could, for instance, have Shortery run an action when you launch a certain app, when a new file is added to a folder, or when you connect or disconnect from a Wi-Fi network. Any of these triggers can be linked to any shortcut you’ve created.
Setting up the triggers couldn’t be more straightforward. Just select the trigger type, the shortcut, and the actual event that should run it. You’ll see all created triggers in the side panel, and activations can also be monitored from the menu bar.
Shortery offers features that feel like they should have been included in Shortcuts to begin with. It gives you lots of room for creativity when it comes to automation ideas, and it saves you the trouble of going through repetitive actions on a regular basis just to run some shortcuts. While the full version isn't free, the price is quite reasonable, and it's only a one-time purchase.
