File Viewer For Mac

File Viewer is a straightforward application specially designed to help Mac users view all sorts of known or unknown file types.

File Viewer comes with a simple and user-oriented interface that allows you to preview or playback various files by simply dragging and dropping the desired file or folder onto File Viewer’s main window. Once the file is loaded you can access the Info panel in order to view detailed information about the file.

File Viewer offers information about the file’s kind, size, creation and modification date as well as the data on which the file was last opened. What is more, you can also view the permissions for the file, and other useful info about the file format.

The top toolbar helps you open the containing folder, display the file at full resolution, fit it in the window, rotate the image and zoom in or out. What is more, you can play common video and audio formats and display image, web and page layout file types.

The Native tab helps you view the native format of all sorts of file types. This view also helps you playback multimedia files and load web files in a web browser view. The Text tab, on the other hand, allows you to view a plain text appearance of the file and perform text searches regardless of whether the file uses binary or text formatting.

You can also view the file as its hexadecimal representations and analyze the file’s content via the Hex tab. If you need to view or use the file’s icon in different sizes you can access the Icon tab and use the File menu to quickly export the file info and file type icon.

Thanks to File Viewer you can easily and effortlessly identify a wide variety of file types and discover which applications you need to open and use them. On top of that, File Viewer is linked to the FileInfo.com database, the Central File Extension Registry, where you can find additional information about all file types.
