Shareful For Mac

Many apps offer limited export capabilities, which can be frustrating when you want to save a file, copy content to the clipboard, or open something in another application. However, if they use the system share function, additional functionality can be added to them via the Share menu.

Shareful adds some new commands that will be accessible from any app that uses the standard macOS Share function. These will allow you to save files in any location, copy them to the clipboard, or open them in another app.

The application lacks a classic UI, but it doesn't need one. Once installed, open System Preferences and check the functions you want to see in the Share menu. For the 'Save As' function, you can also define the default directory if you wish. Otherwise, you will be asked for the preferred location every time.

Since Shareful doesn't actually need to be running for the new commands to be available, it has absolutely no resource impact, and you can avoid cluttering your Share menu by selecting only the options you find useful.

After configuring the new commands, any app that integrates the macOS Share button will provide access to the selected functions. There are plenty of situations when being able to save or copy a file will be helpful, particularly if the app in question lacks these options.

In many cases, simply having quick access to these commands from the Share menu will prove helpful, even if the application already has these functions built-in.
