Repetier-Server offers you the possibility to manage the 3D printers connected to your computer via an user-friendly web interface. The application monitors all the IP addresses on the network and allows you to remotely control any of the connected 3D printers.
Once the Repetier-Server is installed, you are directed to the http://localhost:3344 address in your default web browser where you can start configuring the 3D printers. Naturally, you can navigate to that address in any web browser.
To help you understand what you can achieve by using the Repetier-Server app, you can access the built-in manual that includes extensive details about the printer and user configuration, global settings, and how you can connect to the server from a remote location.
What’s more, you also learn how to control the printers, how you can add a webcam and produce a time-lapse video, how you can access the printing logs or upload new firmware to the printer. It includes an emergency stop for the printing process.
Within the Repetier-Server user interface, you get to define the credentials for multiple users and decide if they can start the printing process, add or delete files, or modify the server’s configuration.
To make use of any of the configured printers, just upload the source G-Code file and press the appropriate start button. In the Repetier-Server Dashboard, you get to see the status of each printer, together with a temperature graph.
Moreover, Repetier-Server provides support for calculating the production cost, helps you update the printer’s firmware, can push messages to other devices, or can slice different types of files (3DS, STL, AMF, or OBJ).
To sum up, Repetier-Server offers you the possibility to connect to all 3D printers linked to your network and provides support for configuring and controlling the printing process. Thanks to the Repetier-Server you can also command the printers from anywhere.
Repetier-Server features additional capabilities, such as the possibility to use a webcam to monitor the printing process and generate a time-lapse video, the option to calculate the project’s cost, or the possibility to push messages to other devices.
