Apple’s Reminders app is great and all, but like many other built-in apps, it doesn’t have the menu bar integration many users would like. As is often the case, it’s up to third-party developers to add this desired feature.

Reminders Menu Bar is an app with a simple name that describes its functionality perfectly: it enables you to keep track of your reminders from the menu bar, as well as add, edit, and mark them as completed.

When your desktop is already crowded, you’re not going to want to open Reminders just to check on an upcoming task. With this app, you can click the menu bar icon to see all your upcoming reminders for a selected period of time.

The menu bar icon can show the number of actions due today, but you can disable this feature if you’re not a fan. The icon is also customizable, and the UI itself can be made either transparent or opaque.

The menu bar is just too convenient not to host your most-used apps, and Reminders certainly sees a lot of activity on most users’ Macs. This app lets you do almost everything from the menu bar, and the UI looks just like something Apple would design if they were open to adding menu bar integration to their apps.
