Using different passwords for all your accounts is essential if you want to protect your information. The passkeys should be elaborate enough to exclude the possibility of being guessed.

Random Passwords is a minimalist OS X utility that can quickly generate an unlimited number of random passwords of different sizes. The app integrates various presets and settings designed to help you increase the password’s strength.

The Random Passwords user interface is represented by a single window where you get to view all the customization options and copy the newly created passkey to your pasteboard. By default, the password will be protected, but you can also choose to see it in plain text.

Random Passwords can generate passwords of 8 to 32 characters, and comes with 5 different presets: one that will be defined by the users, and four others focused on digital, Hex, Base62, and Base 58 characters.

In each case, you can choose the symbols that should be included (uppercase or lowercase letters, numerals, special or extra characters), and the ones that will be excluded. Note that you can generate as many new passkeys as you like, by simply pressing the refresh button.

Random Passwords aims at providing an unlimited number of secure passwords without making the user deal with complex tools. After the initial setup, you can generate a new passkey and place it on your clipboard in a matter of seconds.

However, keep in mind that Random Passwords only generates the passwords and does not include any management functions. As a result, you will have to use a third-party manager to store them: given the complexity of each passkey, memorizing them is out of the question.
