QLandkarte GT For Mac

QLandkarte GT is an open source project designed to help you visualize GPS data captured by different devices on various maps. The app can handle multiple map collections, can load details about your routes, and enables you to input personal notes.

QLandkarte GT comes with an installer package that automatically deals with the installation procedure: simply follow the on-screen instructions. However, before running the installer, you must download and deploy the QLandkarte GT helpers and libraries.

Upon launch, you can load your on map files, or you can take advantage of the online resources: you can download maps for different regions of the world and load your own GPS data.

QLandkarte GT enables you to use the OpenRouteService or Google to find exact locations on your map, create waypoints, and then make routes between different locations. The application will quickly highlight the route on the map, calculates the distance, and enables you to adjust details related to transportation.

Even though the QLandkarte GT  user interface is quite intuitive, the application packs a fairly large number of functions. Unfortunately, the project support pages are no longer available, and the software archive does not include any documentation. This means that you will have to find your way around, and solve any issues on your own.

The good news is that in the QLandkarte GT About window you get to see the list of supported map formats, which is quite large: VRT, GTiff, NIFT, RPFTOC, HFA, AIG, PNG, JPEG, and so on.

To conclude, QLandkarte GT  can be used to visualize various types of maps and create waypoints, tracks, and routes, but the app does not come with any type of support and you will have to learn how to use it on your own.
