Collection of three AppleScripts designed for making it easy to control the iTunes, Rdio and VLC multimedia OS X apps using the top media keyboard keys. #ITunes script #Rdio script #VLC controller #Script #Controller #Play
The free Priorities suite of AppleScript will automatically give priority to one of the compatible applications when more than one are open.
The priority of the apps is iTunes, Rdio and then VLC. Thus, if all three applications are running at the same time on your Mac, iTunes will be the one you can control using Priorities.
The scripts that come bundled within the Priorities pack enable you to play or pause the currently playing song / video, change to the previous track and skip to the next track with just a keyboard tap.
In order to use Priorities on your Mac you will first have to check the "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys" within the System Preferences / Keyboard window.
In-depth installation directions as well as further details about these scripts can be found on Priorities' project page.
