Pasteboard Recorder 3E is a free macOS clipboard manager which enables you to access, organize and reuse any content stored in your Mac’s internal pasteboard.

Another important aspect of Pasteboard Recorder 3E is its integration with Evernote. Thus, you can export your clippings to Evernote and even download content from the popular service with just a click.

Pasteboard Recorder 3E comes with quite a good set of features for a free application. Moreover, its user interface consists of a main window for managing the clippings and a menu bar panel to access some of its features.

The main window lists all the snippets you’ve copied. To reuse any clipping, simply double click it and then paste it into the desired app. What’s more, you can also use the CMD + ALT + any digit (from 0 to 9) global hotkey to copy the last 10 clippings to your pasteboard.

The listings are large, display an icon according to the content type (text, link, image, etc.), and you are empowered to select the ones you want to copy to Evernote (using the rightmost check boxes). Also, you can choose to keep up to 600 clipped items in its internal catalog.

Also included in the main window is a toolbar to clear the pasteboard, change it, activate the auto-record mode and access the Evernote panel. From the Evernote panel, you can upload or download clippings to and from Evernote. You can also toggle an option to auto-upload the data.

Various options can be configured from the Preferences window. For instance you can toggle the sound on /off, create fixed snippets, manage your Evernote account, adjust various global hotkeys and set several advanced options related to Evernote.

Keep in mind that version 3.1.1 of Pasteboard Recorder 3E is not able to exchange data with Evernote, and it needs fixes in order to do so. Other than that, the app works nicely and it offers an excellent solution for clipboard managing, especially since it’s free.
