Oversetter For Mac

Oversetter is an open source and low-key tool for rapidly and effortlessly translating a text of your choice between over 90 distinct languages from the status bar.

More precisely, once launched on your Mac, Oversetter will add its own status bar item which enables you to quickly paste the phrase you want to translate and process it by hitting the ENTER key on your Mac's keyboard.

Oversetter is build using Angular and Electron and, despite having only macOS binaries available for download at the moment, its developer will add Windows and Linux apps in future builds, making it available for all popular platforms.

It is also important to mention that you need to register for a free Yandex Translate API key, although it provides you with a default one for testing the app's capabilities if you don't have the time to do it right away.

As mentioned in the beginning, Oversetter allows you to translate text between almost 100 different languages, from English, French, Spanish, and German, to more exotic languages such as Welsh, Yiddish, and Hill Mari.

Even though it worked perfectly during our tests, Oversetter does not come with built-in check spelling and will remember the phrase you translated, as it will automatically clear the source text field after some time.

All thing considered if you have to translate a lot of content each day, Oversetter is the perfect application to have on your Mac as it will provide you with a simple and speedy way of translating large texts with just a couple of mouse clicks.
