NoteBar For Mac

NoteBar is a user-friendly note-taking application designed as an alternative to OS X’s built-in Notes application. NoteBar comes with the advantage of providing a menu bar icon and an elegant notebook-like user interface.

Working with NoteBar is as easy as it gets, which is expected from most Mac OS X apps. After launching the app you will see a system bar button that you can click on to access the main window, described above as a slick interface that resembles an analog notebook.

NoteBar features a top toolbar for accessing the settings menu, searching notes and adding notes. What’s more, you can also view your note titles in a numbered list that displays the creation date to the right of each entry.

Creating a note is effortless, as it requires a click on a toolbar button. In the note area, you can freely write dow your ideas in a large format in following fonts: Noteworthy Light, Helvetica Light or Marker Felt Thin.

Other options that are available in the note writing area are navigational buttons to access the previous and next notes, deleting the note, copying the note to the clipboard and exporting, printing or emailing it.

As mentioned before, NoteBar comes with a settings menu that allows you to change the font, set the app to always stay on top of active windows and to automatically launch at computer login.

In conclusion, NoteBar is an unsophisticated and very OS X-like application for writing everyday notes and reminders. Although it does not surpass the Notes app in terms of features, it offers menu bar support and a more interesting user interface.
