Mini Calendar For Mac

For people who like to organize their time, having easy access to a calendar on their Mac is a must have to keep a close eye on how many days and weeks there are left in the current month or year.

Mini Calendar is a free and easy to use utility which adds a calendar for the current month in your Mac's menu bar, addressing the lack of such a tool in macOS.

Moreover, Mini Calendar also allows you to add the calendar on the desktop and in the dock, the former being easily customizable via the app's Preferences window, with the calendar text, calendar background and transparency being the options you can tweak. As a bonus, if you need the calendar displayed your Mac's Notification Center, you can also add Mini Calendar as a widget.

From Mini Calendar's Preferences, you can configure its status bar item to display either a calendar icon or a digital clock, with the latter being able to show the current date, the time or both of them at the same time.

Mini Calendar can also be set up to display the week numbers, as well as to add the sunrise and sundown time to the calendar.

Global keyboard shortcut support is yet another worthy to mention feature of Mini Calendar, seeing as it will enable you to summon the current month's calendar on your Mac's display anytime you need it.

As for downsides, at the moment, the Mini Calendar app does not come with support for full year calendars and does not give you an option to change the first day of the week from Sunday.

Taking everything into consideration, despite its simplicity and ease of use, Mini Calendar does manage to fill a software niche not occupied by any macOS inbuilt application, and it does it successfully, with most if not all of the features you would require from such an app.
