Kenobi For Mac

Apple's smartwatches are incredibly versatile, but when it comes to using them as remote controls, there are relatively few things you can do when connected to your Mac. You can unlock your PC, control playback, and manage keynote presentations, but there are many other possibilities.

Kenobi seeks to expand the list of things you can do with an Apple Watch and a Mac. Aside from universal media playback, it lets you launch apps, use keyboard controls, a remote trackpad, or just ping your Mac. What's more, you can even restart, sleep, log out, or power off your Mac remotely.

To do this, you will need to install the Apple Watch app on your mobile device and the desktop app on your Mac. You will find the latter in the menu bar, and you just need to enter the code displayed here on your smartwatch in order to pair these devices. Once that is done, you will be able to take full advantage of the app's features.

Kenobi is a fairly new project, so you might run into some issues for the time being. It would be a good idea to install the macOS app on your desktop device before purchasing the Apple Watch app, just to make sure it's working as intended.
