Gestr For Mac

Gestr offers you the possibility to take advantage of your Mac’s trackpad to streamline the launch of different apps, scripts, URLs, system services or various utilities.

To get started, you must create multitouch trackpad drawings and assign them to any app you want. Gestr will automatically launch the respective process whenever it detects the gesture on your trackpad.

Upon launch, Gestr will place a menulet in your status bar so you can comfortably activate its panel and start drawing.

The Gestr main window is organized in three areas: the drawing canvas on top, the app selector right beneath, while on the bottom region of the panel you can see the additional customization options.

Simply navigate the lists of apps, bookmarks, scripts, utilities, and services supported by Gestr, select the one you want to work with and assign a multitouch trackpad drawing. Note that all the drawings are user made, with the help of the trackpad device.

Gestr can read the gesture after a user defined interval expressed in milliseconds. The user gets to specify the accuracy level required for a gesture to be recognized. Naturally, the app’s efficiency is influenced by these parameters.

Moreover, Gestr allows you to specify if you are working with multitouch drawings, if you want to enables the quickdraw function, or the fullscreen mode.
