Control your Tesla vehicle remotely, monitor its location and the status of various parameters, with this open-source, unofficial app for Tesla owners #Tesla App #Control Tesla #Track Tesla #Tesla #Car #Track
Teslas are known to be some of the most technologically advanced vehicles to date, and their software allows users to both monitor and control a wide range of parameters, from the car’s location and battery level, to temperature, locks and much more.
The company provides users with mobile apps that enable them to track their vehicles and control them remotely, but an official desktop app is not available. Thankfully, an unofficial one has been developed using the Tesla API – Nikola. It is available for macOS, Windows and Linux.
After installing the app, you first need to log in. The authorization token is stored locally and only sent to the Tesla servers directly. You can remove the token from your Mac by just logging out.
There are a number of things the app can help you with. When you access it from the menu bar, it shows you your car’s current status, range and temperature, as well as its location via Google Maps.
In addition to monitoring your vehicle, the app allows you to control certain functions remotely. For instance, you can manage the temperature, toggle sentry mode and lock or unlock the car. Additional features are planned for future releases.
