The Focus Matrix application brings to your Mac the principles of the Eisenhower box for organizing your time: you get to catalog your tasks based on importance and urgency to find out which ones you need to handle first.

The Focus Matrix interface is represented by a single window where you get to insert the tasks you want to handle. The app can display the items in list or graph mode, but the four main categories always remain the same: Important & Urgent, Important & Not Urgent, Not Important & Urgent, Not Important & Not Urgent.

As a result, each time you add a new item to the board, you need to decide which category is more suitable and then start working on tasks based on their importance. For each item, you need to set a name, but you can also assign notes, a due date, a reminder, and various tags.

To help you focus on a particular category, Focus Matrix offers you the possibility to expand any of the quadrants to full window in both matrix and list modes. Moreover, you get to use the built-in search tool to find entries a lot faster.

Within the Focus Matrix user interface, you get to move items around with simple drag and drop actions, use the options in the contextual menu to share or delegate tasks, edit more than one assignment at the same time, and so on.

Moreover, Focus Matrix can filter the entries by tags or state, and generate graphs depicting your activity for custom periods, while also taking into account tags. This way you get access to visual reports that can help you understand how you have been spending your time.
