Desire Freedom is a free and open-source that allows you to easily root your HTC Desire, Desire Z, orDesire HD.
How to root your phone: · Connect your device to your mac-running computer. · Install "DFPatch.apk" to your device. · Open up the installed DFPatch application on your android. · Click "Install Root", and wait 30 seconds. · Open the Desire Freedom application for mac. · Click the "Begin Rooting" button. · Wait for installation of rooting patch to complete. · Restart your device and your device will be rooted perminitely.

- Must be running Android 2.3 or lower
