Open links with the last browser you have used, or simply select your default browser from the menu bar, with the option to blacklist certain browsers as well. #Default Browser #Browser Selector #Open Link #Browser #Default #Selector
When using multiple browsers, which isn’t uncommon nowadays, opening links from other apps can be a hassle. If you don’t want to open one in your default browser, you have to copy and paste the link manually, which you’re not going to want to do for every URL.
Default Browser remembers which browser was used most recently and uses it to open links automatically. What’s more, it lets you quickly select your preferred browser from the menu bar or blacklist any that you don’t want to ever be used.
This can potentially save you a lot of time if you switch browsers frequently for different workflows. The last active browser will automatically be used to open links from other apps, with no action required on your behalf.
You can even click the app’s icon in the menu bar to see which browser is at the top of the list; that’s the one that will be used to open the next link. If you don’t want certain browsers to ever be used, you can blacklist them from the app’s preferences.
If the automated system isn’t always enough, you can simply select the browser you would like to use for the time being from the menu bar. If you’re doing something that involves switching browsers but still want to open all links in a specific one, this will be helpful.
A primary browser can also be configured from the app’s preferences, and you can revert to using it as your default browser at any time. The upside is that you won’t have to switch your system’s default browser setting every time you want to pause the app’s functionality.
While there are other apps that allow you to choose which browser should be used for opening every link you click, Default Browser can automate the process so that links are opened with the right app automatically. It’s not going to be the perfect system for every situation, but it also lets you manually select your preferred browser from the menu bar.
