DataStorm offers you the possibility to batch convert various data files to other popular formats in no time. Just import the files you want to process, set custom configurations for the task if necessary, and launch the conversion process with a mouse click.

The DataStorm user interface is represented by a single window where you get to see the list with all the imported files. In each case you get to see the file name and the full path. Note that DataStorm will assign a different icon depending on the file format.

Worth mentioning is that DataStorm does not come with drag and drop support, so to import the file you need to go through the Finder menu. This is useful because only the formats supported by DataStorm will be selectable.

Moreover, you must also specify the output directory within the DataStorm Settings panel. The same area allows you to decide if existing files should be overwritten or not.

You can go straight to the conversion process by directly pressing one of the buttons placed in the top area of the main window: JSON, XML, CSV/Excel, YML, PLIST, INI, or Properties.

On the other hand, you can further configure the conversion via the task config panel associated with each file. If you are working with CSV files, you get to set the sort fields or the separator symbols. What’s more, the built-in complex object engine is great when you want to convert JSON files to CSV.

Bottom line, DataStorm brings to the table a fast and uncomplicated solution for transforming data files from one format to another. The advanced configuration options can help you work with CSV or nested JSON files.
