CopyCopy For Mac

Despite all the multi-platform services we have at our disposal nowadays, finding a straightforward, easy-to-use app that lets you transfer content between all your devices is not always that simple.

CopyCopy is one utility that may provide the answer, as it is designed to make transferring files or text snippets between your Mac, mobile device or Windows PC as easy as copying something to the clipboard and pasting it in another location.

Once you launch CopyCopy, the application logs all files or text snippets sent to the clipboard and allows you to access them again even if, in the meantime, they have been replaced by other items. Unfortunately, however, they cannot be sorted or organized into categories, which makes finding the right ones rather difficult.

You also have the option of sending any file or text snippet to your cloud storage account so that it can be downloaded from any of your connected devices.

Whenever you want to transfer something to another device, you can either copy it twice within a user-defined time frame or use the floating CopyCopy button that appears on your desktop. Either function can be disabled, so you can use whichever one you feel is better suited to your workflow.

However, it might have been useful to have an alternative, customizable keyboard shortcut for uploading content, as the Double Copy Detection method may lead to accidental transfers if the interval is set to a higher value, and the floating button is only displayed very briefly.

CopyCopy is also available for Windows PCs, Android, iOS and Blackberry devices, as well as Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome, in the form of browser extensions.

Once all your devices have been connected, transferring content between them becomes remarkably simple, although it is a shame that the app cannot generate shareable links to uploaded files.
