Within the Compare++ main window you get to see all the comparison tasks you have run, organized by date. The best part is that you can open any of them almost instantly with a double click.

Compare++ keeps the results organized into tabs, which means that you get to have multiple queries open at the same time. However, Compare++ does not allow you to work with more than one window.

On the other hand, Compare++ sports a Snapshot function that offers you the possibility to capture an area of the screen and even make annotations. You can place the picture on your clipboard and move it to a third party app, or you can save it directly to an image file.

Compare++ is designed to understand the code structures of various programming languages, which means that the results when comparing two source code files are more accurate.

The Compare++ utility can also bypass comments, spaces, tabs, and other formatting details that are irrelevant, and focus on the essential changes.

Note that the file comparison mode comes with a Function View where you get to list the structures included in the code, such as functions or classes.

Even though the source files are completely different, Compare++ can be used to compare functions that look alike, and even allows you to move content one way or the other. The utility also provides support for 3-way data merging.
