CogMeow For Mac

CogMeow is a small application that comes with a cute design and aims to help you streamline your day to day activity. By using CogMeow, you will eliminate the time wasted launching apps, websites, or files again and again.

CogMeow comes with seven buttons, each featuring a different color and cat inspired character, that can be configured to trigger different actions. Note that you can launch the operations by using the app’s graphical interface, or the hotkeys associated with each button.

Even though the CogMeow app should come with a global hotkey, during our tests it did not seem to work, and you don’t have the option to change the default keyboard combination. To bypass this issue, just bring the app’s panel on top by pressing the CogMeow Dock icon.

Right off the bat, you must navigate to the CogMeow Settings panel and use the wizard to assign commands to each button. The utility can launch apps, websites, or files, or you can run commands in the shell, QuickLook files, or VoiceOver sentences.

The best part is that you get to assign multiple commands to the same button, which means that you can organize your tasks by different criteria.

The CogMeow settings window features a separate tab for each button, where you get to see the list of commands, the associated hotkey, and the name of the cat character. You get to insert tooltips for the button.

To conclude, CogMeow proposes an alternative solution for performing frequent tasks without wasting any time. Once the initial configuration is finished, you get to bring to your desktop your entire setup for each project or task with a lot less effort.
