For most of us having a cluttered web browser translates into a significant loss of time throughout the day, trying to pinpoint the websites we need at a given moment and keeping a sizeable collection of pinned tabs at all times.
To help you deal with this problem, you can use Bulldock Browser, a minimalist and elegant macOS utility designed to help you effortlessly convert the websites you use every day into native standalone applications.
These dedicated apps allow you to drastically reduce your web browser's tab clutter and to boost your productivity by keeping all your favorite web apps one mouse click away.
Using Bulldock Browser to convert websites is as easy as launching it on your Mac, entering the URL for the site you need to convert and toggling on the app feature you want to enable.
Bulldock Browser also gives you some default websites to choose from on the first setup screen, with Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram being listed on the top row of choices.
Moreover, Bulldock Browser makes it simple to multiple applications for any website for each of your accounts by enabling the "Multi-Account/Private Browsing" option during the app's setup process.
It also allows you to create apps with a slimmer looking user interface when toggling on the "Compact Mode" option, by disabling the navigation toolbar and only displaying the website's interface.
The apps you create using Bulldock Browser can also be set up to use a mobile browser user agent, which will allow you to use the mobile version of your favorite web apps on your Mac.
If you do not enable the "Mobile Browser" feature during the app conversion process, Bulldock Browser will let you choose a mobile user agent from the resulting app's Options > User Agent menu.
As a bonus, all applications created with the help of Bulldock Browser feature support for auto-refresh and can be configured to run on top of all other apps on your Mac's desktop.
Although it worked flawlessly throughout our tests, we've noticed that Bulldock Browser utility still has its shortcomings as it does not come with support for userscripts or userstyles for injecting CSS and / or Javascript, and it does not allow you to generate status bar-only applications for uncluttering your Mac's dock.
It is also important to mention that apps created with Bulldock Browser are not distributable to other Macs, which means that you will not be able to share the apps you create with your friends.
All things considered, despite the need of a couple of extra features, Bulldock Browser is the tool you need to lighten up the load off of your bowser's shoulders by converting the websites you visit the most into fully-fledged macOS apps.
