BookMarkable For Mac

BookMarkable is a small yet powerful application that aims to help you make bookmarks for absolutely everything, including emails, calendar events, database content, and so on.

The utility resides in the status bar, but the bookmarks float on the screen, and you get to embed the content into other documents or feed the data to applications.

Within the Create Bookmark Link panel, you get to set a name for the bookmark, assign a URL link or file path, and establish the default application that should open the link.

Note that you can either use the Finder menu to select the file you want to assign or just drag and drop the item on top of the BookMarkable panel.

BookMarkable will automatically generate a thumbnail for the entry, so you can see how the bookmark panel will look like.

You can use the share menu associated to the Create panel to copy the entries to the My Archive Folder or to copy the content as a file, URL link, thumbnail image, web content, or text with pictures. You can save its as bookmark file, or reveal the associated file in a Finder window.

Each bookmark panel comes with four different icons, each placed in a different corner. To embed the bookmark info into your document, just drag and drop the corresponding figures on top of your project's window.

Bottom line, you can use BookMarkable to create bookmark files or embed links to various types of information, and even get control on how a certain link is handled.

The app generates thumbnails for the content, you can set the app that should be used to open the link, and you can share the links with drag and drop actions.
