Appinator For Mac

The Mac’s appearance is an important part of the overall user experience, so personalizing icons and using custom wallpapers is a fairly common practice. Appinator is a small Mac app that provides simple tools for quickly customizing your desktop.

The best part is that Appinator comes with a built in collection of 200 icons and 150 wallpapers that can be easily applied to your folders or desktop. The application also offers you the possibility to use your own images.

Appinator will place an icon in you status bar menu that provides quick access to the app’s main window. Here, via a stylish user interface, you can browse the available icon designs or wallpapers.

To change the icon of a certain folder, navigate to the Appinator icons window and drag and drop the folder on top of the designated area. The next step is to select one of the icon designs and press the apply button. Of course, you can easily revert the process by pressing the “Reset” button.

The same area host the “Organise” button that directs you to a new panel where you can add your own images, both to the icons and wallpapers collections. The newly imported images will be displayed on the bottom area of their respective lists.

Just like in the System Preferences window, when you change the wallpaper via the Appinator panel, you can easily resize the image, place the image in the center of the screen, stretch it to fill the screen and more.

What’s more, Appinator can be used to generate custom menu folders that will be integrates into your status bar. So far, Appinator is able to create menus for the Applications and Utilities folders.

Appinator delivers a fairly intuitive manner for quickly changing your folder’s icons or your desktop’s wallpaper, while also providing access to a large collection of custom designs.
