Air2Files Server For Mac

Air2Files Server is a practical and discreet application specially designed to help you share your Mac’s hard disk content with your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.

Thanks to Air2Files Server you can effortlessly share your photos, pictures, music, movies, files and documents with any of your iOS devices using your WiFi network without connecting USB cables from your Mac to your mobile device. You just have to launch Air2Files Server and let it run in your Mac’s status bar.

By default, Air2Files Server shares your home folder but you can access the Preferences window and set the path to the folder you want to share with your iOS device. It goes without saying that you need to have Air2Files installed on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch in order to browse through your files and download the ones you are interested in.

All your files and folders will be available for all your mobile devices as long as the application is running in your Mac’s menu bar. If you want to shutdown the server you only need to close the application.

Air2Files Server is pretty straightforward and does not clutter your screen with useless windows, buttons and menus. We would have liked Air2Files Server even more if it allowed us to totally hide the menu bar icon and summon it only when we need it with a simple keyboard shortcut.

We also hope that in future updates, Air2Files Server will allow us to transfer files from our iOS devices to the server. This feature could speed up the transfer process for small files that we want to store on our Mac’s hard disk.
