1Clipboard is a useful app that adds some extra functionality to the humble clipboard, enabling you to store numerous copied items, share them across multiple devices and access them at any time.

1Clipboard works great with text clippings, as they are saved using the same font and text size, ensuring that they can be imported to the documents you are working with in no time.

However, while the app also saves images that are added to the clipboard, this feature does come with some limitations. The pictures are saved as PNG files, regardless of their original format, and are automatically resized if they exceed certain dimensions.

Your clippings are sorted by date, so the most recent items will appear on top. It is possible to place important entries in your favorites list, so as to make them easier to find, but they cannot be arranged into custom categories.

Also included is a basic search function for finding text clippings quickly, and 1Clipboard can filter your history so that only images are displayed.

The interface is well designed and has a simple, user-friendly layout, but would benefit from some additional color themes.

While this step is entirely optional, you can log in with your Google account if you wish to be able to access your clippings from various locations. Currently, 1Clipboard is also available for Windows PCs, although mobile versions of the app have yet to be released.
