createRecoveryHDUpdater is a free script for OS X Mountain Lion that is designed to update or create a RecoveryHD partition to version 10.7.3.
createRecoveryHDUpdater will ask for locations of Recovery Update, Install OS X Lion.app, and destination. Then, it will expand and and collect the dmtest tool from the Lion Recovery Update.
Finally, the script will collect the hidden Basesystem chunklist and dmg found in the InstallESD.dmg inside “Install Mac OS X Lion.app”.
