barXtemp For Mac

barXtemp resides in your status bar and offers you the possibility to quickly check different parameters captured by various sensors incorporated into your Mac computer.

The barXtemp app comes with no customization options, but it can display information about your system at a glance.

Upon launch, barXtemp places its icon in your status bar, and you can see details about your system status with a simple mouse click. The app can automatically launch on its own on when you start your Mac, but it does not come with hotkey support for toggling the menu’s visibility.

barXtemp displays the system information in list form and you cannot copy the data to your clipboard.

Moreover, barXtemp does not integrate any customization options, so you cannot change the status bar icon design, or personalize the way in which you are viewing the data.

Within the barXtemp status bar menu, you get to see details about the current CPU and integrated GPU temperature expressed in Celsius degrees.

The barXtemp app does not seem to detect if a system has multiple cores, and the CPU temperature reading appears to be incorrect in some cases.

However, barXtemp detects how many fans are built-in your system and displays the rotation per minute speed for each separate device.

Note that if your Mac model is using a battery, barXtemp can also display the battery temperature, also expressed in Celsius degrees.

barXtemp is a minimalist OS X app designed to bring essential information about the status of your system to your menubar. The information is gathered from built-in sensors and is displayed in a straightforward manner.
