Parallels Server Mac Bare Metal Edition is an easy-to-use and powerful hypervisor-based virtualization solution for Bare Metal systems on Apple hardware.
Parallels Server Mac Bare Metal Edition provides you with the possibility to simultaneously run Parallels virtual machines and Containers on the same Mac.
Using this software, you can efficiently use your Mac's hardware resources by sharing them among multiple virtual machines and Containers.
With Parallels Server Mac Bare Metal Edition you can: · Run multiple OS environments on a single server to maximize hardware utilization · Quickly provision, configure, manage & de-provision virtual server environments · Reduce the number of physical servers resulting in saved space & power consumption · Easily snapshot and/or backup all or individual virtual machines to protect data & settings · Migrate virtual machines between physical servers to distribute workload or respond to pending hardware issues · Pre-configure virtual machines through templates or use VMs created with Parallels Desktop for Mac, Windows or Linux and Parallels Server for Mac
Creating & configuring virtual machines should be fast and easy. With Parallels Server 4 Bare Metal, the administrator can provision a new virtual machine nearly instantly and then quickly apply virtual machine templates to provide a fully configured — ready to go — server with just a few clicks.
Parallels Server Mac Bare Metal Edition includes a migration utility which enables administrators to capture an existing physical server into a virtual machine. This allows administrators to move entire environments, applications & their settings from a physical to a virtual server with minimal effort.
Parallels hypervisor technology opens the door to up to 12 virtual CPUs, 64GB virtual RAM, 16 virtual NICs and 2TB virtual hard drives for each of your virtual machines.
Listed below are the operating systems that can run in the virtual machines: · Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7 · Windows Server 2003, 2008 · Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, 5 · CentOS 4, 5 · SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 · Debian GNU/Linux 4.0, 5.0 · Fedora 10, 11 · Ubuntu Linux 8.10, 9.04 · FreeBSD 6, 7
