MemoryFreer For Mac

MemoryFreer is a minimalist, yet efficient macOS application designed to free up inactive real memory with just a mouse click. MemoryFreer is a simple and user-friendly GUI based alternative to the basic CLI command "purge".

From the main window of MemoryFreer, you can view the free, wired, active, inactive and used memory. A pie chart, which visually displays the RAM allocation on your Mac's system by colors, is also included.

After clicking on the "Free Memory" button, simply wait and let the app do its job. At the end of the purge, you can see the amount of RAM you've just freed.

MemoryFreer provides a status bar menu which also displays the allocation of RAM on your Mac's system. The Preferences window lets you change the main window style, select the update frequency and toggle other visual options.

MemoryFreer can help you improve the performance of your Mac and allow memory-hungry apps such as Firefox, Chrome, Photoshop or VMware to function more smoothly.

The MemoryFreer app can also be used as a real memory usage monitor thanks to the  accessible menu bar panel.
