The Fanny utility comes as a combo of both a status bar item and a Notification Center widget, both of them designed to help you keep a close eye on your Mac's CPU temp and fan speeds.

To be more exact, Fanny's status bar menu makes it simple and fast to track the fans' current and target speeds, as well as their minimum and maximum speeds.

Besides that information, the Fanny menu bar item also displays the current CPU temperature, together with separate info for each of the fans installed on the Mac.

Just as the status bar item, the Fanny Notification Center widget is also designed to make it simple to keep watch on your Mac's fan speeds and real-time CPU temperature.

Fanny's Notification Center widget can be rapidly enabled by opening the Notification Center, clicking the Edit button at the bottom and then the green icon next to the Fanny item in the list of widgets.
