NetBarrier For Mac

Like any other computer, when connected to the internet, your Mac is vulnerable to data breaches. NetBarrier is an user friendly application that monitors your traffic, prompts you about connection attempts, and helps you block suspicious activities.

For your convenience, the NetBarrier package comes with both installation and uninstallation capabilities, which make the procedures very fast and easy. Moreover, when you launch it for the first time, NetBarrier comes with a setup wizard that can help you select the correct profile for you.

NetBarrier comes with three different firewall profiles: home, work, and public hotspot. For each profile, you get to decide if you want to block or allow the incoming / outgoing internet or local connections. Of course, in each case you can also create your own exceptions list.

Until all usage rules are established, every time an application tries to connect to the internet, you get to decide if the action is allowed or not. At the same time, by enabling the advanced mode, you get to block / allows certain apps / domains altogether. This way, you have complete control over your traffic.

NetBarrier comes with a small Applications Monitor window that lists all the applications that currently use your internet connection and signals any incoming or outgoing traffic. To change or revoke certain privileges, in the NetBarrier main window simply switch to the Applications tab.

Here you get to visualize the Application Rules for each of the three profiles. To make adjustments, press the Edit button from the bottom areas and select the connection mode for each app through a drop down menu.

Due to its beautiful, organized, and intuitive design, the NetBarrier capabilities can be successfully used even by most inexperienced operators. Of course, it will take some time until you setup all the applications rules, but you will also have a lot more control upon your internet connection.
