Apple Watch Screensaver For Mac

Smartwatches haven’t won everyone over, as some don’t see them as particularly useful, but you can’t deny that they look pretty damn good, particularly Apple Watches.

If you want to bring some of the clock designs from your Apple device to your Mac’s desktop, Apple Watch Screensaver is just the thing. It includes a few watchface variations, and it offers some basic customization options as well.

Using screensavers to display a clock is nothing new, but this particular one uses the same watchfaces available on your Apple device. Not all of them, mind you, but enough to give you some options at least.

There are five different ones to choose from, four of them classic analog watches, as well as an extra large digital one. As far as customization goes, you can select a different color scheme that changes the appearance of a few visual elements.

If you have an Apple Watch, you know that there are a lot more watchfaces than what this screensaver provides. We can’t expect too many of them to be included, but it would be nice to see a few more options.

Also, when an analog clock is selected, we noticed that it takes up relatively little screen space. It would be great if there was an option to increase its scale so as to fill up the entire desktop.

Frankly, if you have a smartwatch, you’re probably just going to took at your wrist when you want to check the time. Apple Watch Screensaver may be best suited for users who don’t have one of these devices, as glancing at your Mac’s monitor is a lot more convenient than checking your phone.

Regardless of how useful you find it, this screensaver can bring some of the Apple Watch's style to your Mac, but we would love to see more watchfaces included in future updates.
