DreamSync For Mac

Editing footage is a lot easier if the video and audio content is already synchronized. DreamSync is a small yet powerful Mac OS X application that can analyze the audio and video files created by different devices in order to create a perfectly synchronized media file.

Working with DreamSync is extremely straightforward: simply drag and drop the video and audio files in the designated areas, and then press the “Sync” button.

The application scans the content and makes sure that both types of data have been captured at the same time: as a result, the output is seamlessly synchronized without your help.

Once the data is synchronized, you can preview the results on the right side of the app’s main window, playback the recording, or even trim the video. Note that via the preview area you can also visualize the relation between the video and audio content: this way, you can trim the surplus content.

The best part is that the trimming process is reduced to simply dragging and dropping slider bars to the place where you want you recording to start or end.

When you are satisfied with the result, all you have to do is press the Export button to create a H.264 / M4V file, an Apple ProRes 422 video, a Quicktime movie, or choose other file formats. You can share the output by email, via Messages, through AirDrop, or on Vimeo and Facebook.

DreamSync will prove to be extremely useful whenever you want to combine the video and audio content captured with different devices: the app will analyze the recordings on its own and generate seamlessly synced movies in no time.
