primeScaff is an application that was created to helps in the process of designing primer pairs around gaps of genomic scaffolds.
primeScaff includes de-novo repeat finding, in order to avoid repetitive primers and offer the possibility to tune primer design options.
primeScaff is written using Perl and can be run on multiple platforms including Mac OS X.
System requirements
What's new in primeScaff 1.6.1:
- Made available pacages specific for Linux (i686 and x86_64) ans OSX (i386 and x86_64) to extremely simplify installation
- Removed the precompiled primersearch. Too many problems trying to link the new files of the EMBOSS
- Added option --scfEnds to report combinations of primers to bridge between scaffolds.
- Added license details for each 3rd party software included.
