Description

Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) is a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model of fire-driven fluid flow. The software solves numerically a form of the Navier-Stokes equations appropriate for low-speed, thermally-driven flow, with an emphasis on smoke and heat transport from fires.

Smokeview (SMV) is a free and open source visualization program that will help you display the output of FDS and CFAST simulations.

What's new in FDS-SMV 6.2.3 Build 22541:

usability: display show grid menu item for all case types (cases without blockages also)
fix: fix problems with terrain slice display for cases where terrain (and/or zbar0) does not start at 0.0 - (Issue 2419)
fix: fix FDS crashing that could occur if Smokeview use the compiler command line option, /fpscomp:general, to allow smokeview to read files being currently written to by FDS without crashing FDS (instead of using the non-standard OPEN parameter SHARED)
fix: fix debug display of memory block and block size info
