Effortlessly Spoof your GPS location for the iOS Pokémon Go game in order to play from the comfort of your Mac computer's desktop #Spoof GPS location #Pokémon Go webspoof #Spoof iOS device #Spoof #GPS #Location
pokemongo-webspoof offers you the possibility to play Pokémon Go without actually having to go outside.
The utility spoofs the GPS location for the Pokémon Go app installed on your iOS device and allows you to move around the map on your own or by relying on the built-in autopilot.
Even though pokemongo-webspoof features a rather intuitive interface, configuring the project might prove to be a bit challenging for inexperienced users. You will need to have Xcode installed on your System and build and run the project on your iPhone.
To be able to do that, the iPhone device with Pokémon Go installed has to be connected to your Mac via USB. You can find extensive details about the procedure you need to follow on pokemongo-webspoof's Github page.
In short, you need to use pokemongo-webspoof to update your location in Xcode, which in turn will simulate the new GPS location on your iOS device. You will also need to add the pokemongo-webspoof app to the list of utilities that can control your computer from System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility.
Within the pokemongo-webspoof main window, you get to see the world map, together with your current latitude and longitude: the location of your Pokémon Go avatar will be signaled by a ball.
You can use the built-in arrow buttons to move around, lock or unlock the map, zoom in and out, and see how much you have traveled around. At the same time, via the built-in search tool, you can look for any location around the world and move to that place by using the autopilot.
pokemongo-webspoof allows you to choose if you want to travel by foot, bicycle, subway, truck, car, or by using the teleport function. You get to see details about your speed, the distance covered, and the time it will take you to get to the destination.
pokemongo-webspoof provides an alternative solution for Pokémon Go without actually leaving your house: you get to spoof the GPS data and simulate that you are moving around.
Naturally, one should use the pokemongo-webspoof app with caution in order to avoid a soft ban: make sure to turn off the Location services on your iOS device before launching the tool and Pokemon Go, and enable it again once the GPS simulation process has started.
You should not move too fast around the map (the auto-pilot feature can even add randomness to your moves) in order to avoid being detected by Pokemon Go's anti-cheating features.
