Organize your inbox with this intuitive, modern-looking e-mail client that offers three separate viewing modes to help you keep tabs on your messages. #Mail organizer #Email client #Organize messages #Mail #Organize #Message
iMail is a simple desktop e-mail client that aims to provide users with a similar experience to that offered by popular messaging platforms. It does away with more complex features and makes it easier for you to organize your inbox with no unnecessary complications.
The ‘people’ view provided by the app displays a list of all your contacts, which you can click to see every single message that has been sent or received. You can add multiple addresses to each contact and even assign nicknames.
The ‘conversation’ view, on the other hand, displays each e-mail thread separately, making it easier to filter important topics.
iMail shines when it comes to managing attachments, as you can organize them by type, name, size, sender or date, as well as find the messages they were sent in or upload them to Dropbox.
iMail can only be used to manage one account, and, if you attempt to switch to a different one, all local data is deleted automatically.
The app does not seem to be able to load all of the e-mails in your account at once, and you have to add the rest of them subsequently, one hundred at a time.
When you want to send a new message, you can either write a quick reply, or open the Compose window if you need to use the app's more advanced functions. However, once this window has been opened, you can no longer perform any other action until it is closed or the message has been sent.
When it comes to sorting your messages, iMail is a bit disappointing. Favorite items are displayed first, new e-mails afterward, while messages that have already been read are shown last, sorted by date.
However, it is not possible to sort all e-mails based on the date when they were received, assign labels or place items in multiple categories.
If you are looking for a no-nonsense e-mail client that can help you perform a range of simple operations, iMail can probably do the job just fine. However, it lacks advanced functions and needs some improvements before it can be recommended for most users.
