YouTube has become a popular source for entertainment and the fact that you can keep playlists with your favorite content surely makes things a lot easier.

Yout is a user-friendly desktop app that takes things even further by allowing you to access the media outside the browser. However, keep in mind that Yout works only with predefined playlists, and you cannot search for content within the app.

The Yout user interface resumes to a single resizable window that can be easily moved around the screen. Given the fact that Yout stays above all other app windows, you can make sure you will always have access to the playback controls.

Yout will also always keep a separate tab for each playlist, so you can quickly switch between them. Worth mentioning is that Yout automatically hides the top toolbar to gain more space, but you can make it visible by clicking with your mouse in the area.

Right off the bat, Yout prompts you to add new playlists to the manager and provides instructions on how you can do that in a brief tutorial: you need to navigate to the playlist manager window, set a name for the playlist, and then insert the YouTube link.

Within the Yout window, you can also browse the playlist tracks, choose to launch the YouTube homepage in your default browser, switch to full-screen mode, or resize the panel to the smallest size possible.

As far as the playback is concerned, Yout integrates the default YouTube control bar, so you can pause the video with a mouse click, get details about the duration, adjust the video speed and quality, toggle the annotations, and so on.

The Yout project delivers a space efficient solution for getting access to and navigating through your favorite YouTube playlists.

Note that Yout only works with playlists and that you need to provide the appropriate YouTube links in the Yout playlist manager before you can get started.
