Yang, short for Yet Another Nikto GUI, is a self-explanatory application capable to analyze and secure your servers with just a few mouse clicks.

Nikto is a straightforward web server scanner specially designed to test web servers for dangerous files/CGIs, outdated server software and similar issues. Nikto is able to perform generic and server specific checks in addition to capturing and printing all received cookies.

Thanks to Yang you can perform exhaustive tests against web server for multiple items, including more than 6400 potentially dangerous files/CGIs, version specific problems on over 270 servers and versions on over 1200 servers.

Yang comes with a simple and intuitive interface from which you can easily and effortlessly run diagnostics on HTTP and SSL elements, detect flaws in your server components, reveal leaked scripts, outdated server software, dangerous files and other problems.

From Yang’s main window you can type in the web address of the page you want to analyze. You can view the address of the hosts you tested so far and change the default port by simply accessing the Hosts tab. You can view Yang’s log via the Logs tab and export NSE, Tools and Yang results by accessing the File menu.

The Tools tab helps you updated the database, list all plugins, view Nikto versions and perform a DBcheck. Basic options such as SLL, Use Proxy, Find Only, Auto Save and No 404 can be enabled or disabled from within the Preferences tab. Experienced users can check the Expert panel and configure Yang to their needs and preferences.
