Transfer Tool GUI is an easy to use application that enables you to share or grab files from another computer, over the internet. To use the app, you must make sure that it is installed on both machines.

The Transfer Tool GUI main window comes with a drop down menu where you can choose to Listen (share a folder) or Connect (grab a file from a remote Mac).

In the Listen for Connection window you must specify the port you want to use (the default port is 10241), the path to the folder you want to share and the server password. The next step is to press the “Start” button and monitor the Connection Log area to view if the server starts up.

On the other side, the user must open up the Connect to IP window and input the host IP address. The user must also know the port number and the server password. To actually transfer a file, you must specify the output location and the filename.
