A good thing is the fact that from its Preferences menu, Syncany enables you to effortlessly install and take advantage of plugins for Dropbox, Flickr, FTP, Local, RAID0, Amazon S3, Samba, SFTP, OpenStack Swift, or WebDav.

With its fairly complicated philosophy, Syncany is not what you would call the most user-friendly sync and backup app out there, but instead, it was built around a strong security orientation and bundles interesting features like version control and auto-duplicate-deletion.
