There are quite a few solutions for people who feel that today's websites make it very hard to focus on the actual content because of all the distracting images being in the way.
One of the most popular of them is having all the images blocked from a website and being able to view only the text content for more comfortable and faster digestion of the information presented on a given web page.
For such a purpose you can use Minim, a free and extremely simple to use Safari extension which will help you transform any cluttered website into a simple to follow and text-only web page.
To do that you have to enable Minim once installed on your Mac from Safari's Preferences/Extensions tab. Once its two extensions, the toolbar button, and the actual blocker are enabled, you will only have to click the "Start Minim" toolbar button to allow Minim to start blocking images while browsing the web using the Safari web browser.
The Minim extension will start preventing pictures being displayed by websites you open in Safari straightaway, but if you want to view the full version of a web page with all images, you can use its whitelist features to disable it automatically on a per-domain basis.
Once you add a website to the whitelist, all images will be allowed, and you will be able to view the website content in its entirety. Of course, you can remove any website from the whitelist very quickly, by clicking the "Remove website from Minim whitelist" option in Minim toolbar menu.
This makes it a lot easier to have images blocked everywhere on the web, while still being able to view the full version of a handful of websites you deem worthy.
In a nutshell, Minim is the perfect extension to have installed if you want to use Apple's Safari web browser as an efficient tool to declutter today's websites that make it very hard to get to the actual content because of the large number of images that, at times, make them very confusing.
