Speed Test Pro is a small macOS application that offers you the possibility to analyze the performance of your internet network without dealing with complicated setups.

The Speed Test Pro app resides in your status bar, and you get to access its panel with a simple mouse click.

Speed Test Pro comes with a minimalist design yet integrates a clean animation that can help you understand how the test is going. In the app’s main panel you can either launch the test or navigate to the Settings panel.

The best part is that you can run the tests in your status bar without interrupting your workflow. As you press the “Begin” button, Speed Test Pro will automatically connect to the closest server and display details about your IP and the test server name and location.

Note that Speed Test Pro will take care of everything on its own, without requiring any user interaction. After the task completes, you get to see the connection ping value, together with the download and upload rates.

After you run a test, you will be able to review the results in the History tab. Speed Test Pro records the test date, the name of the connected WiFi network, the download and upload rate, the server name, and its location.

For more detailed test results, within the Speed Test Pro Settings panel, you can adjust the size both for the upload and the download blocks (the values can go up to 100MB).

Bottom line, Speed Test Pro offers you the option to analyze the performance of the currently connected network in a streamlined manner. Speed Test Pro is also able to work with WiFi networks and can store historical data related to your tests.
